What is channel awesome?

Channel Awesome was a website and online content production company, most notably known for the web series Nostalgia Critic, created and hosted by Doug Walker. The site hosted a variety of other web series, reviews, sketches, and commentaries created by a network of contributors.

The site experienced significant growth in the late 2000s and early 2010s, becoming a popular destination for online film and television criticism and comedy. Other notable series included Atop the Fourth Wall, Bum Reviews and The Cinema Snob.

However, in 2018, Channel Awesome faced a significant controversy following the release of a document called "Not Your Story", which detailed numerous allegations of mistreatment, harassment, and unprofessional behavior within the company. This led to widespread criticism, contributor departures, and a significant decline in the site's reputation. Though Channel Awesome and Doug Walker attempted to address the issues raised, the controversy continued to impact the site's operations and public perception.
